WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO TREAT AND WHY?
I was slender and fit before I gave birth to my first and only son. A year post-partum, I was still struggling to maintain a healthy body weight and that lead to depression, mild eating disorder, and body-image issues. After working on myself for several years and attaining a healthier weight, I began to focus my practice on women’s health issues including eating disorders, depression, anxiety, obesity, uterine fibroids, infertility, menstrual abnormalities, and menopause.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN ALASKA OR WHY DID YOU MOVE HERE?
I visited Alaska in September of 2017 and I was immediately swept by its beauty and the warmth I received from everyone I encountered. Therefore, it was an easy choice to join Fairbanks as a practitioner and be part of such a wonderful community.
WHERE HAVE YOU LIVED BEFORE ALASKA?
I grew up in a small Caribbean island before immigrating to New Jersey in my early teens. I have also lived in Florida, Arizona, New York, and Georgia
PREVIOUS CAREERS?
I worked in retail stores after high and during the summers of my college years. Following college graduation, I landed my first corporate job working as a chemist and stability coordinator for a pharmaceutical company. I’ve also worked as a Neurofeeback technician, corporate biometric health screening event manager, lifestyle coach, health and wellness coordinator, and homeopathy pharmacy assistant.
HOBBIES AND OTHER INTERESTS?
I love the outdoors- hiking, biking, camping, and running. As an author, I love to write and blog, research, or simply reading a great book. I dearly enjoy knitting and crochet. I love spending time with family and friends, traveling, enticing conversation, playing tennis, and working on spiritual development.
FAMILY?
I grew up in a large family. I am the second to last child with three sisters and one brother. I have a handsome, loving, and well-mannered teen age son and many nieces and nephews whom I adore.
